Our Wonderful Week of Training

We were set apart as missionaries on August 7,2016.  Our family is always there for us and for each other and we love them so much.  See you all in two years!  Keep us in your prayers please.  We love you all!!

We arrived at the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah, on August 8, 2016.  We are in for a  life-changing experience. 

 We met these three Elders who will be serving in the Singapore Mission in a few weeks.  They are excited and ready to serve. We hope to get to see them in the mission field.

We will be serving on the opposite side of the world with the wonderful people in Malaysia.

Our experience this week has been amazing, and you can't really put into words the feelings that we have had here as we experience the Holy Spirit teaching us and inspiring us to do things that we didn't think were possible.  We are so thankful to be able to learn, and know that we will always have the guidance of the Spirit as we prayerfully apply what we have learned here at the Missionary Training Center.

 We didn't attend the new Provo City Temple, but our dear friends from days gone by, Richard and Nancy Kowallis, took us to dinner and we walked around the temple grounds.  It is so beautiful, but as you can see,  it was a bit breezy.

I took a walk up to see the Provo Temple.  It is in such a beautiful setting.  What a peaceful way to spend a few minutes for a little exercise and relaxation.

 Our granddaughter, Mallory and her husband Boone came to visit us at the MTC.  It is so good to be able to see family one last time for two years.  A lot will happen in that time.

We had a special visit with our grandson, Tyler and his wife Maggie, and little Eliza Ann.  What a blessing it is to have family who love you and care about you.  See you in two years!
