The Church in Malaysia Continues to Grow

In December we were blessed to have a baptism in each of our Branches.
The Elders work so hard and it is always a thrill for them to bring souls unto Christ.

We love this little family.

Christiano was baptized on 3 December, by his father Raymond, who was just baptized  in
October.  What a thrill to see this family doing so well as members of the Masai Branch.

The Elders in the Johor Bahru Branch were able to baptize a special sister.  She has a lot of grandchildren who come with her to church, so hopefully they will learn when they are older.

Christmas 2016 Gardens By The Bay

Gardens By the Bay is a truly extraordinary place.  We purchased a season pass when we came the first time, and it was a great investment.  We look forward to coming as often as we can because they change everything inside several times a year.  Now it is decorated for Christmas and is truly spectacular!  (I know I use that word a lot in describing things in Singapore).  You have to see it to truly appreciate it.

What beautiful wedding pictures this couple will have.

I love these sweet sisters, they are some of the "angels round about me to bear me up."

Our Extra Day in Singapore

We enjoyed a wonderful conference where we were instructed not only by our Mission President and his Wife, but also by each of the Missionary Couples.  It  is always good to get together and share ideas and experiences.  It helps to be with the other couples and encourage one another.  I know that we are serving where the Lord wants us
and I feel His hand in so many things that we do.

We stayed in Singapore an extra day so we could visit the dentist.  It was a strange experience after so many years of your husband being your dentist and your daughter being your hygienist, but this dentist was very nice and gentle and it was a good experience.

This is a fun photo spot for the missionaries.
However, I am definitely not "Singapore's hottest Chick."

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

We attended our second Senior Couples Conference in Singapore on November 30, 2016.
I am happy that it was scheduled at a time when we could see the beautiful
Christmas Decorations in Singapore.

Colman, Walker, Childs & Harrison

This view from our hotel is pretty amazing.  In the distance you can see a mosque with the gold spires on top, the Singapore River and many high-rise buildings

The day before the conference we all went together to Orchard where we had dinner together and then walked down the streets to see the beautiful  Christmas decorations.
Pictures do not do it justice, it is truly magnificent, but not as beautiful as temple square or even the Mesa Arizona Temple grounds.

We walked a few blocks further to the place where they had foamy soap bubbles in a little village for the kids so they thought they were playing in snow.  Minus the cold weather.

Then they turned on the snow machine.  Elder Lamb got right into the action
